Yes — Authentic Thai Massage NYC is open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week, at 501 Fifth Avenue, Suite 2001 and Suite 2007, New York, NY 10017. If it is 7:40 PM on a Tuesday and you are standing near Bryant Park, we are open. Whether a table is free at the hour you want is a separate question, and I will be straight with you about that below.
I am Sassy — Sasighan Prasertsri, founder and lead therapist. I am a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and an NCBTMB Approved Provider, #792. I trained at Wat Pho Thai Traditional Medical School in Bangkok and at the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai. We have two private treatment suites on the 20th floor. Two suites means the schedule is small — that is the honest constraint behind everything on this page.
The fastest way to find out what is actually open tonight is to check live availability on the booking page or call +1-212-759-6618.
We are open 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The hours are the same on every one of those days — 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including Saturday and Sunday. No shortened weekend schedule.
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Monday | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM |
| Tuesday | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM |
| Wednesday | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM |
| Thursday | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM |
| Friday | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM |
| Saturday | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM |
| Sunday | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM |
The studio closes at 10:00 PM. The latest session we can actually start is earlier than that, because a session has to finish before we close — the last bookable start time depends on the length of the session you choose. The booking system will simply stop offering start times once the math no longer works, so what you see there is the truth.
We accept walk-ins, but we cannot guarantee one. With only two treatment suites, a walk-in works when a table happens to be open and does not work when both are in session. That is the whole mechanism. There is no waiting list magic behind it.
What I can tell you honestly about the pattern:
So: if you are already nearby and want to try your luck, call +1-212-759-6618 before you walk over. One phone call saves you the elevator ride. If you would rather not gamble at all, book a time in advance — even thirty minutes ahead helps.
We are minutes from Bryant Park, Grand Central and Times Square — the closest subway entrance, Fifth Avenue–Bryant Park, is about a two-minute walk. The New York Public Library sits directly across Fifth Avenue from our door, which makes us easy to find even if you have never been.
| Landmark or station | Walking time |
|---|---|
| Fifth Avenue–Bryant Park station (7, B, D, F, M) | About a two-minute walk |
| Grand Central–42nd Street (4, 5, 6, 7, S) | About a ten-minute walk |
| Times Square | Roughly a ten-minute walk west |
| New York Public Library, Stephen A. Schwarzman Building | Directly across Fifth Avenue |
| Rockefeller Center | Roughly a ten-minute walk north |
Getting in: use the front entrance on 5th Avenue, then take elevator 2, 3 or 4 to the 20th floor. Suites 2001 and 2007. If you get turned around in the lobby, call us and we will talk you up.
More on arriving from the transit hubs is in our guide to finding a massage near Grand Central and Bryant Park.
For a 60-minute session, allow about 90 minutes door to door from anywhere in the immediate area. That is the walk, a few minutes early, a short intake conversation, the session itself, and getting dressed and back out.
Here is the arithmetic, plainly:
So a 90-minute session realistically wants about two hours of your evening, and a 120-minute session about two and a half. If you only have an hour total, say so when you call — that is useful information, not an inconvenience.
If you have roughly 90 minutes total, book a 60-minute session; if you have an unhurried evening, the 90-minute session is where the work actually deepens. The 120-minute is for when time is genuinely not the constraint.
A rough guide:
Not sure which? The full list is on our services page, or tell me your situation on the phone and I will pick.
Thai, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Therapist's Combo, Ashiatsu and Precision Reflexology are all offered in 60, 90 and 120 minute sessions. Four-hands sessions, with two therapists working at once, run 60 minutes, and Couple's Massage is available at 60, 90 or 120 minutes for two guests.
Core Vitality is offered at 90 minutes only. Current rates for every session are listed on our booking page, with sales tax included, so the number you see there is the number you pay.
Book online at our appointment page, which shows live availability, or call +1-212-759-6618 between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Online is faster if you want to compare times; the phone is better if you are already in the neighborhood and hoping for something in the next hour.
Two practical notes. First, tell us the problem when you book, not when you are already on the table — it changes which session I would recommend. Second, if your plans shift, let us know. With two suites, a released slot usually goes to someone else the same evening.
Anything else, including directions and building access, is on our contact page.
We are open until 10:00 PM every day, which covers most after-work timing. Evening slots are the first to go, so the later you want to start, the more it helps to book ahead. We wrote more about this in our guide to after-work and late-night massage in Midtown Manhattan.
Yes — this is professional therapeutic massage only, and inappropriate requests are not tolerated. Sessions are performed by a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist in a private treatment suite. That boundary is absolute and there is no version of the conversation where it moves.
Traditional Thai massage is done fully clothed on a padded mat, using compression, rhythmic pressure and assisted stretching rather than oil. Wear or bring something you can move in. If that sounds like more than you want tonight, Swedish or Deep Tissue on the table is the gentler entry point.
Yes. Couple's Massage is available at 60, 90 or 120 minutes, with two therapists working at the same time in a private two-bed suite. Because it needs two therapists free at once, it is the hardest booking to fit on short notice, so give us as much warning as you can.
Massage can help many people feel looser and more comfortable, but I will not promise a cure, and I am not diagnosing anything. If you have a persistent or worsening problem, an injury, or a medical condition, talk to your physician — and tell me about it too, so I can work appropriately.
Use the front entrance on 5th Avenue, take elevator 2, 3 or 4, and get out on the 20th floor — Suites 2001 and 2007. The New York Public Library is directly across Fifth Avenue, which is the easiest landmark to steer by. Call +1-212-759-6618 if the lobby confuses you.
